Wouhou thanks!

Unfortunately there are files missing from POTFILES.

Sorry about that, I'm not really used to working on localized GLib applications yet but this is a good time to get started on making my apps better translatable.

For me to learn how this work and make sure nothing will be missing, can you give me the steps you went through to create the cs.po file?

I'll fix the issues and come back to you.

First you need to have a POT file (I don't think you can do it without it). This is the template for the PO files. You can create it with the command from the project root: xgettext -f po/POTFILES -o po/Commit.pot --from-code=UTF-8 You can also add the -c parameter to include comments from the code above the translatable strings, or e.g. -cTranslators: to include only those starting with "Translators:". Most projects also have the POT file already included in the po directory.

Next, you create a PO file: msginit -i po/Commit.pot -o po/cs.po -l cs_CZ.UTF-8 This can be translated e.g. in GTranslator.

To update the POT file, just run the xgettext ... command again, to update the already completed translations (so that the already translated strings are not lost) run this command: msgmerge -U po/*.po po/Commit.pot

Also it's nice to have names in the About dialog. Just add a property translator_credits with the content translator-credits and mark it as translatable. Translators can "translate" this string with their names. If they do not translate it and leave the original content, this property will not appear in the About dialog.

This is gold, thank you! I will apply this to Commit, Oh My SVG, Junction, Disappear and Tangram.

Let me know if you have a personal request for improvement on any of these or GSConnect, I'd be happy to have a look at it.
