I am Soumitri Chattopadhyay, a first year Computer Science Ph.D. student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I completed my Bachelors (B.E.) in June '23 majoring in Information Technology at Jadavpur University, India.

Research Interests

Presently, I am working on video understanding for editing/generation tasks. My prior research background focused on self-supervised learning for various computer vision applications, particularly on low-resource data (medical imaging, human sketches, signatures etc.). I am also particularly interested in multi-modal understanding of videos (audio+video+text) and occasionally work on audio/language processing.
