Use modern NSFileManager APIs for copying files and retrieving/comparing volume IDs.
I still need to do some testing for this before merging.

Testing
I tested and verified my change by using one or multiple of these methods:
Tested updating test app on same volume (tested move is done in this case), on a USB drive (tested copying / removal is done in this case), and on a SMB connected volume.
macOS version tested: 12.1 (21C52)
