Pixie Firmware Information
We obtain the firmware for the Pixie16 modules directly from XIA. The firmware contains proprietary information. If you are working with the UTK group, you may be able to obtain a copy of the firmware from your contact. Otherwise you will need to contact XIA directly.

These files are specific to a certain type of module (ADC resolution and clock speed). The triggering schemes, list mode data formats, pile-up rejection, etc. XIA recommends always using the most recent firmware version. Some detector systems (e.g. VANDLE) have specialized firmware. These firmware are discussed below.
These version numbers are used in conjunction with the sampling frequency and the bit resolution to decode and analyze data. This table only notes changes to the 4 word header, it does not represent a list of all known firmwares! If your firmware falls between one of these revisions, then it probably has the same data structure as the number that precedes it. For example, R34689 will have the same structure as 34688.

These firmware revisions were developed specifically for an experiment or for a detector system.
- October 9, 2014 - VANDLE v1.2 - Released for ATLAS 2014 - Added double ended Beta detectors.
- November 25, 2014 - VANDLE v1.2 - Released for 19F(a,n) at HRIBF - Extended timing windows to maximum memory sizes.
- February 2, 2016 - VANDLE v1.3 - Released for HRIBF 2016 - Added single ended neutron detectors and gamma ray trace rejection.
