Some important bug reports have been reported for 4.3.1. So I'd like to make a new package after fixing them.

Hi!

Is there any reason to still pin docutils<0.18? Docutils 0.18.1 was released two weeks ago, fixing some compatibiltiy issues, and I think Sphinx should work fine with it.

Maybe you can bump the pin to <0.19? This would make life a bit easier for us distro packagers.

Unfortunately, some improvements are still needed to support 0.18. The tests with the latest docutils are still in failure.

Hi @tk0miya, thank you for all your work on sphinx. The napoleon extension recently received a small patch for compatibility with python 3.10 (sphinx-contrib/napoleon#36); will that be included in sphinx 4.3.2? Sorry if that's a silly question -- I'm not 100% sure how the built-in extensions relate to sphinx itself :)

@kanderso-nrel Sorry, I don't know about the PR at all. I've not watched the napoleon repos. But Sphinx-core has been always tests with the latest python (including python 3.11-dev!). So you don't need to worry about the compatibility with python 3.10.
