The User may use the default api.altesla.app endpoint free-of-charge. However, the User must understand that this involves sending metrics data to a third-party. We advise Users to be aware of the implications and potential risks of sharing this information.

Passwords are not stored on the server. We value the privacy and security of our Users and strive to protect sensitive information to the best of our abilities. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) are stored in clear text on our servers. We advise Users to be aware of this practice and to understand its implications.
Server administrators can access basic metrics data, but they do not have access to private data such as geolocation. The authors of this software are not liable if your password is stolen, and a third party gains access to your car. We recommend Users to take necessary precautions to protect their passwords and to promptly report any suspicious activities or security breaches to support@altesla.app.
Server administrators will not be able to send any commands to the car remotely. All commands are signed and hashed with the User's password, ensuring that only the User can control their vehicle.
