I’m Bauman, I have worked on Open Source projects for 10+ years.

I primarily focus on data manipulation and search libraries written in C and Python.

I am currently focused on:

  • bsonsearch - C library to query, compare, matching engine: lightweight JSON / BSON processor. Thin in-memory query tool comparable to MongoDB's matching engine.
  • idzip - random access gzip compatible compression format intended to be fully compatible with gzip for decompression or to allow access to any random segment without decompressing all prior segments.
  • discodb - write once, read many memory mapped key/value store allowing very large and/or distributed indexes.
  • bsonstream - BSON stream raw data into dict or individual BSON format - python
  • pylibgeohash - A pure C implementation of the Geohash algorithm with python extension module
