Hi!

I'm a technologist with about 15 years in the field, currently living in London, UK, but originally from Brazil. I'm specialised in data engineering and back-end development, and have been active mostly in the Go and Python communities as a speaker and open source contributor since early 2017. I'm also open for mentoring members of the community of any background.

I'm the author of the following projects:

  • pacgo: a tutorial that teaches the Go programming language while building a Pac Man clone with emojis
  • datasus: a library for downloading the Brazilian healthcare datasets
  • read.dbc: an R package that enables reading DATASUS dbc file format

I'm also a contributor in the following projects:

  • go: the Go programming language
  • golang-samples: Go examples for the Google Cloud Platform

For instance, to work on the Datasus project I need to pay for a VPN as the access to the database is blocked outside Brazil. I've also recently bought a new Windows laptop to move forward with my game development projects including the evolution of pacgo.
