My name is Evan West, I own and operate Wild West Designs which I mainly do embroidery design digitizing for other shops and individuals.

About 10 years ago, found out about Linux and started to look into open source alternatives for my needs. Got involved with using Github back in 2017 and found a project on here that was creating an alternative for embroidery digitizing as an Inkscape plugin (Ink/Stitch).

Mainly just doing testing, bug documenting, I then started to get the coding bug. That's when I created an electron version of embTools as a small utility program to handle the smaller needs that I needed without having to go to different websites or open up different programs.

otrDB came about through my hobby of collecting and listening to American OTR (Old Time Radio). There was an existing database program, but it hasn't seen any improvements since 2003, so this was my attempt to come up with something similar and include an audio player for local files and streaming stations that catered to OTR.

Sponsorship is important as that would help me devote more time to these tools that others can use and help with infrastructure improvements to help deliver more features and/or other tools that would help with these existing programs.
