Hey! I am not sure what exactly the problem is that you are reporting here. So can you provide a few steps how to reproduce the issue and describe in more detail what goes wrong when you do what exactly?

In addition to that I vaguely guess that anything related to JavaDoc in the editor and characters could be a fundamental problem in the underlying Eclipse platform, so it would be great if you could double check if this problems also exists in a plain Eclipse installation - and if so, report it directly to the Eclipse platform project.

@martinlippert
Use STS 3.9.5.RELEASE, When adding comments to the editor, there is a problem between the asterisk comment and the Chinese comment.

Can you point us to a sample project that reproduces the issue?

And does it happen in plain Eclipse, too?

I have this problem, too. I installed Eclipse 2018-12 R
Eclipse IDE for Eclipse Committers.

我也有这个问题。我安装的是Eclipse 2018-12 R
Eclipse IDE for Eclipse Committers。

Thanks for posting the link to the bug at Eclipse. Closing this one as a duplicate of the underlying Eclipse bug.
