  • error messages are shown twice in console
  • scrolling in listbox doesn't work with mousewheel / up+down key

The listbox not scrolling with the mousewheel sounds like it's probably this issue:

http://trac.wxwidgets.org/changeset/75191

This fix is not yet in a release, but should be in wxwidgets 3.0.1, which is apparently very close to being released. The fix was backported for Debian in the wxwidgets3.0 3.0.0-3 package (which Ubuntu have now synced).
