Description

What steps will reproduce the problem?

First I'm using a m1 mac.
After installing, in preferances --> general settings --> remove all variables before execution.
And the error is popping up which I don't really understand what is as I'm new to python.

Hi @MacDusty. Thanks for reporting. This was fixed on #15149 so it is available in our latest release. I recommend waiting for it to be available in the next days in Anaconda, but if you want you can download it with our installers https://www.spyder-ide.org/#section-download
