DokuWiki plugin abbr

abbr tag for abbreviation in Wiki text. The abbr plugin provides a spot-based abbreviations or acronyms in contrast to the DokuWiki's standard abbreviations those are defined in conf/acronyms.conf and conf/acronyms.local.conf files. You can hover your mouse on an abbreviation to see a whole phrase, shown as a tooltip.

Syntax

Type 1: <abbr>whole phrase (shortened word)</abbr>

Type 2: <abbr>shortened word [whole phrase]</abbr>

Output HTML

<abbr title="whole phrase">shortened word</abbr>
