Now my German is quite rusty, but as far as I am aware "Energiegesetz" translates to Energy Law, no? While the Power Law in this context is about mathematical powers. (e.g. x⁴, x to the power of 4). I think, the correct translation would be Potenzgesetz when I looked it up just now, but would like for a native speaker to confirm that first. |

"Energie" can both be translated to energy and power (as in German these are used synonymously). You are correct however that in the context of mathematics the German vocab would indeed be "Potenz" (which translates to exponentiation in that case). The reason I left this blank previously was, that I was unsure of the context in the application, as I didn't know where that string originated. After consulting Wikipedia, "Potenzgesetz" would indeed be the better translation in this case. |
