This PR

  • adds a new SIP that aims to reduce the number of orphan blocks created by miners and thereby improve the quality of the blockchain.

that was mined in the previous bitcoin block, then S and S' are siblings and a fork was created.
If the forks of S' becomes the canonical chain then block S becomes an orphane block and vice versa.

Miners of orphane blocks do not receive block rewards as described in SIP-001.

Super important we minimize orphan blocks, on the ground over the past 2 weeks, it has directly negatively impacted many users I've come across personally, countless inquiries from users on how come their fund does not match up to what's being displayed, and why their "trades" been reversed.

There is little change this is implemented and activated as there is a more complete solution described in Nakamoto SIP.
