The oscMall was created based on the osCommerce Open Source Project. We have taken much of the existing logic from the osCommerce system and extended it to create a virtual mall system. The project is covered under the GPL, which gives individuals or firms the freedom to create and modify the source code to meet your needs.

Thru this `co-operative` endeavor, we have eliminated many bugs in the system and made many improvements which were suggested by our volunteer users.

The oscMall System was started as a small project/experiment over 3 years ago to see how far the osCommerce system could be modified. Since its initial release, it has under gone many changes, fixes and enhancements which have given it a unique place in mall systems.

We’ve grown by leaps and bounds from the initial build, and work is constant on improving what is already a full featured product. Our goal is to have complete separation between code and data, and flexibility in the management of the mall administration.
