Use my INI file and do RDPWInst -r once you have copied the INI file to the RDP Wrapper directory...

Also make sure that Windows Defender or any other AV type product you use has an exception for the RDP Wrapper directory!

affinityv THANK YOU VERY MUCH !! It's been a month since I've been searching that new ini file... Any info on how to stop updates so it doesn't happen again ?

My advice is NOT to stop updates as Windows has far too many security problems that are fixed every single month!
At the same time, I set Windows Update (advanced options, possibly not available to Home version users) so that:
"A feature update includes new capabilities and improvements. It can be deferred for this many days."

  • I set it to 365
I don't want to be a Windows beta tester and if I could be more selective with ordinary Windows updates as you used to be able to be (earlier Windows 7 for instance, where you could choose individual updates and not have to take a whole bundle), then that would be better.

This is the real deal. I had tried several other "solutions" to no avail. This works! Thank you very much.

This works, specifically for Windows 10 Home edition 10.0.19041.3271.

Thank you for your solution!
