This repository contains the scripts used for the study presented in the paper entitled "Multi-species hotspots detection using self-organizing maps: simulation and application to purse seine tuna fisheries management".
- Data: contains the ICCAT task 2 dataset (commercial tuna catch from 1991 to 2019 by fishing mode) and the silky shark abundance index file based on Lopez et al. 2020.
- Methods: contains a script describing the method presented in the paper from A to Z and running it on a simulated dataset with artificial hotspots.
- Results: contains the scripts used to produce the results, both for simulated data and the case study.
- SupplementaryMaterial: contains the scripts used to produce the results discussed in the supplmentary material.
