CUG tests that condition on two-mode and multi-modal network structures, and empirical degree distributions in particular. Could be a useful addition to the toolbox. Possible applications are tests about 2nd degree homophily and clustering.
Kieran Mepham (@?) has some preliminary algorithms for drawing from a distribution that conditions on degree sequences by random rewiring of nodes.
