hi @linojon, you'll need to locate those folders to remove the 'feduced functionality'. Once you locate the 'root folder', you can apply the 'wand' icon and it should do a reasonable job of locating the other folders. If not, then you can manually locate each folder one at a time. If you're struggling to locate them, try a search via windows explorer for one of the folders, e.g. "Table Audio". If it helps, this is what my setup (I'm using PinballY frontend with a PinballX media folder setup) looks like. |
hi @linojon, I've been running PInballY using the 'share files with PinballX' setup when PinballY was installed.. Which is why those folders (plus a lot of others not required by ClrVpin) exist by default on my rigs.. But it definitely wasn't my intention to rely on the PinballX folder setup as my first preference is to promote the OSS VP commuity/apps such as PinballY. I'll take a deeper look into this over the next few days and potentially make some changes to remove some assumptions. I might even investigate an 'import folder' feature to remove the tedius folder selection setup as this seems to be the biggest hurdle for first time setup. In the meantime though, if you re-create the PinballX folder setup (just the relevant folders marked above in red) then you should be fine. Those folders can be empty if you don't have the media content yet. |
Implemented as per #53. |
first time trying out this tool. Installed and run. Setup my folders in Settings. The Scanner and Builder buttons are greyed out. Run Importer works i think but it gives a warning "Reduced Funcionality becasue fuzzy matching was not emabled". I tried enabling in Importer start dialog but that checkbox is disabled too. Tried with and without "Training Wheels". My system was set up using Baller Installer, and then installing PinballY separately, into D:\vPinball\PinballY\ . I'm also new to PinballY and apparently a bunch of the folders you ask for arent created.
