This is such a nice effort! I wait for using it in my beamer latex slides.

With unicode input support, also a use via markdown converted with pandoc should work out of the box. I see this is already in the todo list.

Can you please also add support for extra optional arguments such as width=4em or height=4em so that we can upscale the emojis?
