RangeError: Maximum call stack size exceeded when updating to Angular 12 and Storybook 6.3+

Describe the bug
Using Angular 12 and any Storybook version between 6.3.12 and 6.4.17, there are errors in the console for some of our components when emitting events on click interaction (the Actions addon stopped displaying the events as well).
Error is:

Closing, since Angular 12 is not supported anymore. Please provide a reproduction with Storybook 7 and Angular > v13 and reopen the issue if it still occurs.
