add allowtransparency to the components iframe #7315
Comments
Bump |
I have an issue with the transparent background but it only appeared once I upgraded to v1.29.0 |
Yep this is exactly same problem I ran into , it's impossible to alter the the iframe that these things are run in it was causing me issues when I was using custom components and a custom background wallpaper |
I saw the related issue was fixed in 1.30 with #7821 Can you confirm if this issue still applies? |
@sfc-gh-jcarroll it's not fixed. |
Could you add a quick screenshot or video of what you are seeing? And if it's possible to include Streamlit version, browser and code snippet that would be incredibly helpful too. Thanks! |
Hi @sfc-gh-jcarroll, I left a screenshot on the other issue (#7821). The code is here: https://github.com/erikvanzijst/music/blob/erik/visualization/Music.py#L102-L105 It's running streamlit 1.31.0 |
lol the other one's a duplicate of this one but I get your point. |
Checklist
Summary
it would be nice to add allow transparency to the iframes that are used with components, if setting a custom background and using components it leaves a long black bar across the entire page and forbids you from setting background-color:transparent in the css to remove it.
Why?
the black bars left by a component when changing to custom background are ugly
