What problem are you facing?

When creating a list, it's often ideal to keep it clean and minimal, but there's also often a need to have more detailed information associated with list items. It would be helpful to have some way to add ancillary info while keeping it unobtrusive and out of the way, perhaps even hidden until needed.

What's the solution you'd like to see in Notesnook?

I'm not sure what the best way to accomplish this would be, and there should probably be some discussion to come up with some ideas. One obvious method, though not really ideal IMO, would be to simply add the details for items as additional (sub)list items, i.e. lists within lists, but that can't be done currently because lists (and code blocks for that matter) can't be added within task lists. One possibility would be to have a feature like alt-text or like the comments in Excel, where it's not visible unless you hover over or long-press a list item, at which time any additional info for that list item will be shown, with the option to edit it or to add info if there is none. Another option would be through linking, as in issue #1017, so the additional info could be placed elsewhere and linked to, but that wouldn't be very convenient or efficient as it would require a lot of back and forth to go somewhere else, enter the info, then link it back (though maybe it could be done in a way that makes it quick and easy).

What alternatives have you considered?

It's working for me as you can see here:

The process is a little un-intuitive. You have to break the list item into 2 before adding any block element like code block or table by pressing Shift + Enter. After that everything works. This shouldn't be necessary though.

Thanks. I agree that's definitely not intuitive, so hopefully the process can be improved, though I'd still like a way to add "hidden" details to keep the list clean and minimal length and just view the details as needed.

I would like this feature as well. Sometimes I want to add a bit more details to a task but haven't found a way to break the line on the android app or I miss something.

My idea was to create nested notes and link them to the task item? If you click on the task item a little window would pop up with the details.
