Changing notes doesn’t change the body if the new note has no body

If I am on a note and can see the body of that note in the right window, then I click on a different note, if that note is just a title but no body, the title changes, but the body does not. It still shows the old note. That means it is hard to know if I change something, am I adding to the old note body in the window, or will I be adding content to the currently empty note?

The only way I know to do this without corrupting data is go to the Search tool, search for the note with no body. That will then show the note title and empty body, and I can type there.

A little more info - I submitted that bug report on my iPad. I cannot do the search trick as it still shows the body of the note on an iPad, at least in landscape mode. I can to it on my iPhone though which is what I had to do.
