Desktop version sync fails, says update to latest app version. I'm on the latest version downloaded from the website. Completely unusable. Signed in and out, uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times.

Device information:
App version: 2.6.17-ad99c87-desktop
OS: Windows 10 64-bit
Browser: Electron 25.9.8
Pro: true

I have the same issue. On my Android (F-Droid version), everything works fine. Flatpack on desktop says it syncs successfully, but notes are actuallly not updated, I don't see any of the changes I made in the Android app. I tried the web version, which should be the latest version, but I got the error: "sync fails, update to latest version".

I figured it out. In Discord announcement channel of Notesnook, I read the post about the v3 beta. And that all clients on the same account need to be on v2, or v3.
What happen for me: F-Droid updated Notesnook on my phone to v3, fully automatic, as if it's a regular update. And that caused issues with the v2 app on my desktop.

So I think the issue is that the beta app is released on the regular F-Droid channel.

Same happened with me and F-Droid @tx71 . I tried downgrading the android app to v2, and tried logging out of all sessions and only log in on desktop, but neither solution worked. I guess we have to wait until the browser app is updated to v3 as well.

On Discord it's mentioned that v3 is available on web on https://v3.notesnook.com. I don't use the webversion, so haven't tried myself.

Just joined their Discord and indeed the link works! After logging in through https://v3.notesnook.com/ I can now access my notes on the browser and it syncs with mobile. I'm not sure how to make it work using the desktop version, but you could use the web version until the update is pushed to the desktop version,.

It's recommended to first backup your notes just in case something goes wrong
