The online and local notes + tags have disappeared.
When I login to the online site, it says update app!! and shows that sync has failed.
There are no updates for the local installation.

Device information:
App version: 2.6.17-aa2a8ab-web
OS: Linux 64-bit
Browser: Firefox 124.0
Pro: false

I've just lost 3 days of work :/
I think it's probably the same problem: sync

I worked on desktop version (Mac) and after I finished I forced sync to guarantee.
Then I opened the android app and when I noticed that It was an old version, was too late, the note on desktop version (that was opened) get synced to the android version

Sync stopped working 22hrs ago!!!!
Lost all notes. I found a backup file in the home directory. Restoring it resulted in nothing!!!

In my case, on desktop version, I restored my notes from "previous sessions" list.
It's a local history list.

I checked my desktop application and found that the session history is available only in the pro version!!!
Given this situation, I will have to consider some other way of backing up the the notes.

@sriniferal this is not true. Session history is available on all plans.

@ecureuill force sync is not meant to be used in that way. Using it even when there's no issue with sync can cause data loss because force sync overwrites everything. We'll be removing force sync due to misuse.

I'm not sure where the session history is for all notes. My understanding is it is related to each note. I'm also not sure how I can access it if the notes on my desktop have disappeared!!!

Attaching a screenshot of session history from a test note. It suggests that the feature is restricted to certain plans.

Hi, your error is related to a network error which can be due to you using a VPN/DNS or a firewall blocking the connection to Notesnook servers. If you aren't using a VPN, I also suggest trying again with a VPN.
