Sync failed on MacOS app after sleep

Every time I open my Mac from sleep, the app states that the sync has failed with the red icon on the bottom left corner. So, I need to manually press the icon each time which will make the syncing continue normally. There is no data loss because of this. However, I don't have similar issues on iOS or Android.
Currently, the only solution is to close the app completely before putting the computer to sleep, but I would rather leave the app open all the time.
