Syncing between devices is very shotty

I'm finding myself always having to manually trigger the sync on my phone, windows computer, and Mac laptop and even then sometimes data is lost.

If any of my devices go to 'sleep' I then have to manually trigger the sync when I want to use the app again, very poor user experience often resulting in data loss if I forget.

I'm not sure how other note taking apps like Evernote or apple notes handle this but the syncing between those was always seamless
