Is it possible to pass parameters into the DSL !script?

When using the DSL !plugin it is possible to pass in parameters as the example in the docs illustrates

workspace {
   !plugin com.example.TestPlugin {
   	name value      
   }
}

I have tried a similar syntax with the DSL !script with no success

workspace {
    !script script.groovy {
        name value
    }
}

The above yields an error along the lines of

java.lang.RuntimeException: Unsupported scripting language

I expect this is because the parser is looking for the file name as the last token in the line.

Is there some other way to pass parameters to a script?

It's not, but I've just added the ability to do this, and it will be available in the next release (or you can build from source if required).
