Ellipsis ... shows in various places in the GUI unexpected (Windows fractional DPI scaling)

Description

This is same bug as in #2279 where @wbond claims bug has been fixed, but in fact it seems to be still there. I asked to re-open the bug but there was no feedback since last year.

As you can see some completion items are cut with ellipsis, even if there is enough space to show them.

Environment

• Build: 3188
• Operating system and version: Windows 2012 R2 & Windows 10 1703
• Resolution 1920x1200 at 125% DPI scaling

New issues are always preferable to commenting on closed issues. There is such a high volume of info on GitHub I don't track every incoming email.

Are you running gdi, or the default of direct write?

I am using default DirectWrite.

I was able to reproduce this and implement a fix for 3189.
