Remember order of windows / native macOS tabs #6051
Comments
It was reported as #4870 before, fixed and then regressed again. |
Oh thanks, I've missed that issue |
Actually that was slightly different case. |
I'm pretty sure the window restore order is wrong on Windows as well, after quitting ST then launching it again. At least it's a problem that plagued me constantly. So I think it's not necessarily related to MacOS/native tabs, but we can create a separate issue to track it if there is disagreement... |
Yes, it's also an annoying issue on Windows, and would also like that one fixed (and allow reordering of the windows there) ! |
Problem description
On restart Sublime Text uses a different order of the native macOS tabs (that ones that contain projects vs just a single file) vs. the one ST was closed with
Preferred solution
Preserve native tab order
Alternatives
No aware of any, other apps remember native tabs' order
Additional Information
This shows opening, reordering, closing, and restarting Sublime with 2 window tabs
Reordering to
111
222
On restart the order is again
222
111
ST.mov
(this is already mentioned in the comment #5005 (comment), but otherwise that issue is separate about tabs being reopend as windows after full-screen)
