This package contains 2 programs:

ggrep  
a Perl-sript to do recursive git grep including submodules

git-grep-recursive.vim
a vim plugin using ggrep returning search results
for the word under cursor in a quickfix window

Installation with make, lets you specify vim keymap for plugin.

$ make
to install in home dir

$ make install-system
to install, ggrep system-wide
