Hi

When I am printing a PDF using sumatra, there is always a black line at the left of the page. But only on the last page it prints. I dont have the issue when printing with chrome or other printer software. I printed a blank document, the left side is sumatra pdf.

I have added the doc here:
Doc1.pdf

This only started when i bought my new HP 6950. But it is not an issue with the printer because it prints fine using other software like chrome or Word.
I print A4 using the standard windows print settings manager.

I am using the latest prerelease now, before i was using the stable version. Same issue.

I am happy to provide more information if needed.

thanks

I am uncertain why you are having a problem with your printouts
I know of no reason why that should happen in your case, however there are a couple of posibilities.
If I send a gridded full page pdf a4-Graphical Model-000.pdf to my HP printer I do not see any extra information on either edge here is the scan of that full page where you will notice it is reduced to fit the smaller printers working area sorry its a large image but included to prove that apart from paper skew there is no additional line. Continued below...
a4 scanned

What we may note from comparison with your printout is that the left edge appears to align with your extra line so the best way to see if that is true (exact position) is for you to print the gridded a4-Graphical Model-000.pdf above, and check if the line you see is along the edge of the grid.

The way sumatraPDF prints is different to most other pdf printers as it uses a system more akin to graphics applications thus in comparison may only show up in other apps such as printing a blank page from say MSpaint.

What I notice in your photo is a slight buckle in the paper on that left side, which could suggest there is a mechanical problem with the paper transport, which in turn could be resulting in an inking issue.

I have found a part of the issue. There is only a line when printing in draft and using SumatraPDF.
When printing in normal mode, I don't get the line.
The grid you added prints as it should in draft.

Thanks for photos it helps
I should include some clue as to which way is UP on that grid, however I note the issue is on right rather than left; and only in draft which then leads to a hint that it is a problem with the way that sumatrapdf will use MuPDF antiallias which can render the extreem edges oddly.
Thus I guess it can be down to only SumatraPDF using MuPDF with that mode.

@kjk
Note this has been mentioned before, that at edges of rendering (in this case a blank edge) anti-aliasing can lead to tonal variation

Yes, I noticed too it is on the right instead of left.
When printing in landscape the issue is the same but it is always on the same side of the page. So it would look like it is the bottom. If you understand what i am saying. I have added a picture for clarification.

The edge is always there, even when using a full page of text, but only on the last page of the text. The other side, the first page, doesn't have a line.

Thanks for all the help!
