Version of Slic3r used goes here
2.3.55.5-124-g2e9562d5d
Operating system type + version
Win10 x64
Description of Issue
It should not switch to GCode preview automatically (or maybe as an option?). This is rather annoying.
Only if one disables "Background Processing" it works as expected.
If I import models from CAD they are rarely oriented "Z-up" (not my choice, but hey!) and I need to "place on face" pretty much every part I print... This would be a huge time-safer if it would not switch GUI - just like PrusaSlicer does.
Behavior
Enable "Background Processing"
Import any files (pref. more than one)
"Place on Face" on part ...... wait for it ..... NOW! It switches the GUI to GCode preview! (Also, any other change will make the GUI switcheroo)
Wait for it to finish slicing
PoF another part ..... wait until the GUI is done switching around ..
PoF another one ....
Expected
Enable "Background Processing"
Import any files (pref. more than one)
PoF part one
PoF part two
PoF some more
THEN switch GUI to GCode preview.

Just added a new option in the preferences to avoid switching automatically.
Unless I misunderstood something (I never used background processing).
Maybe you want to keep the auto-switch but only when the gcode is exportable?
