I updated my forum post about this issue. You can find it here: https://forum.freegamedev.net/viewtopic.php?p=82661#p82661

In that post I go into detail about how I managed to get around the issue. But I also talk about what I think are some "real" solutions to the problem. Maybe it can help someone find a proper fix.
