The only installation instructions I could find on the http://spacemacs.org website is the install button that shows:

git clone https://github.com/syl20bnr/spacemacs ~/.emacs.d

I searched also in http://develop.spacemacs.org/, but couldn't find any reference to https://github.com/syl20bnr/spacemacs#prerequisites or https://github.com/syl20bnr/spacemacs#install.

I think we can fix the oversight by linking to the beginner's tutorial proposed in #6085, once it's merged.

The documentation system doesn't include the README. We should link it somehow.

hi,

maybe you do not need to link full README.
You just need to tell , either directly clone to .emacs.d, or either clone somewhere else then $HOME=spacemacs emacs

these are few rows comparing to the full README.
