When using method="number" I like to label significant correlations with "label_sig", by default these over plot the numbers. I am able to address the issue by changing line 445 in to ...text(pos.pNew[, 1][sig.locs], pos.pNew[, 2][sig.locs]..." to "...text(pos.pNew[, 1][sig.locs], pos.pNew[, 2][sig.locs] - 0.25 I think it would be helpful to have an argument for moving the insig markers in general.
