A quick comment, the TODO and coworking task mgr software could be based on Logseq.. org-mode was designed for TODO on the CLI and there is likely a way to integrate a Kanban board or even Trello. Logseq is a desktop app (that uses either org-mode or just markdown) to create a local Workflowy type outliner, but they are making a mobile app, and the published/exported webpage has most of the same features for online readers. If there is a way to auto-publish, like the git-auto commit script they have, then basically everything (notes, blog, todo, kanban, etc) could be done from the CLI and end up also on the web and in GitHub. |

Great ideas. I was trying to think of things that would be useful not only to us as a group. I looked at the Logseq site. Interesting project. I would still like to get through the first few projects. I think we could definitepy build something useful. Most TODO apps and TODO CLI tools were not built for developers and GitHub Projects seems a bit all over the place. |

I've heard several people mention to me (a few coding streamers on Twitch) that they would love to see a TODO app that is for Developers that hepls them keep track of developer tasks and maybe has a Git and/or GitHub integration.. if not something a bit better than GitHub's "Projects" tab Kanban. Using a framework like REACT, Vue, Angular, Svelte, Next, Nuxt would be ok with any of them but I would just pick one that most developers interested in working on the project with us would be inclined to use. That being said, REACT seems the most popular choice. As for projects, at least for the time being, the target project would be the bots for Twitch and Discord as well as the website so we can have a platform and product to work on. We have been working on the website for a long time now and it is much further along than the other projects we already have. We don't have much of a product we can stand behind just yet that would draw interest. So, the idea would be to gain visibility with a stable useable product. Even some project that would easily be streamed while we worked on it. I am just throwing out some ideas for next projects. By no means do we have to do all of them. It also means we do not have to reinvent the wheel with every project we do. I would like to focus on the most useful product, especially for our needs. That being said, We have 30 members now. That's quite a following. Thank you everyone for joining us. :-) |

Maybe. OSDev is fairly popular. We would have to choose a particular release target. I would be in for it. My knowledge is limited to 8, 16 and early 32 bit Intel systems, specifically 8086, 8088, 286, 386, 486 up to Pentium II. I started on a OS project written in C/C++ and Assembly when I was in college, that would run on 386/486's. I don't know how weil it would run on early Pentium's. It's in my perosnal repo called 88os. IIRC, any member can create a project in the Org. repository. So if anyone wants to get a specific project going, feel free to do so. I'd feel much more comfortable making a Linux distro that isn't a respin. Take the latest stable Kernel and build from there. |

It's good to hear that there is more interest in OS development than I thought. I think I'm more likely to start working on something from scratch. I haven't attempted to build one yet (at least nothing past a bootloader), but I'd like to follow the OSDev Wiki, and I also have Andrew Tanenbaum's book. |

Yeah, it is still quite a thing. I have a few OS Dev books from over the years. I had fun with working on my OS. I looked over the OSDev wiki. Seemed like a great place to start. If you can make a bootloader that works that's a big step. I worked on making the hardware too which was quite a challenge. |

Some minor and major problems I have known about for some time. Apparently nobody is really that interested in an organization mainly for people interested in tech and coding especially without a majority of the eliteist and other mentality of communities like FSF, OSS, FOSS, etc. But, that being said. The website needs completed. And a number of large major problems with the community itself need to be addessed. |

Yes, agree. We need to build up a YouTube community with good content across a number of tech areas. Maybe a rotating schedule. More clarity and less ambiguity on the vision and a clearer understanding of the organisation you’ve setup. In addition, incorporate the ideals of FOSS etc may help people distinguish between a business role and a voluntary position.
Airing grievances is a good thing so long as it’s done in a polite and respectful manner. Communication is a key factor for success.

I've got a fresh idea, and while it might sound a bit out there, here it is: I'm thinking about creating a Chrome extension that interacts with Google's Gmail API. The goal? To grab messages as soon as they land in your inbox and display them conveniently in the top-right corner of your Chrome browser. Now, when it comes to verification codes, I'm planning a special notification just for them. The extension will not only notify you but also securely store these codes. Each code will have a unique ID linked to the original email, and all of it will be kept safe within Chrome's local storage. Looking ahead, websites can tap into this feature. They can use it to verify links automatically, making the whole process smoother. Rest assured, your security is a top priority. The extension will only access your Gmail with your permission. Plus, any data stored will have an expiration time, either set by you or the website. And here's the exciting part: this extension can be integrated into many different websites. What do you think?
