This is a pre-built deb and rpm of the wpunix files.
This is a minor bugfix release.
- It was not possible to paste or enter the zeroth character of extended sets directly, such as Hebrew Aleph (א), Greek Alpha (Α), or Japanese phonetic a (ぁ). The only workaround was to use
Compose(Ctrl+V), but this has now been fixed, see #29. - In some circumstances, documents containing Greek terminal sigma characters (ς) would not work correctly. The characters might either be invisible, or appear as the similar-looking but incorrect
stigmaligature (ϛ). This has been fixed by correcting the codepoint inherited from libwpd, and switching to a more widely-supported glyph name. - There is now experimental support for resizing your terminal window. You may need to hit
Rewrite(Ctrl+F3,3) to update your screen after resizing. Please report cases where this doesn't work properly! (Note: There is a known issue where this doesn't work properly withReveal CodesAlt+F3 active). - In some cases, WordPerfect could busy wait for input during macro execution. This was unnecessary, and the code has been improved to only wakeup when necessary. Please report any other cases you notice (for example, any high CPU usage)!
- Many debugging improvements for developers interested in improving WordPerfect (see the wiki to get started).
- There is now an optional
cuakeyboard layout that provides some familiar keyboard shortcuts for new users, such as Ctrl+C for copy, Ctrl+V for paste, Shift+← for select, and so on. See the wiki for a full list, or try it out by selecting it in Shift+F1,4.
Please report any issues, WP8 has not received as much testing as WP7. This is because it was thought to be lost until recently! 😃
