I have a report X which is synced with a mailchimp list.
Person A is in the X results, so gets added to the mc list.
Then circumstnaces change, A no longer appears in the results, so gets removed from the mc list.
Then circumsntaces change again and A is now in the results again.
Jethro tries to add them to the mc list again
but it doens't stick - they are still "archived" in mailchimp.

Tried changing "status_if_new" to "status" in the mc api call and it seems to fix it. But what is the history of that change...?

…st 'status_if_new'. This sometimes provokes 'member in compliance state' errors, which we detect, record (once) as a person note, and then discard. No more writing tgz error files to the temp dir.
