Welcome to the WAM Test Pattern extension for Visual Studio Code! This extension provides specialized language syntax support for the WAMpat (Whack-A-Mole Pattern) language, dedicated to setting up the Whack-A-Mole VR Game environment and configurations for patterns.
The WAM Test Pattern Extension offers a range of features for improving the reading and coding experience with the WAMpat language:
- Syntax Highlighting: Differentiate between keywords, numbers, strings, and other elements in your WAMpat code.
- Auto-Completion: Type with efficiency as the extension predicts and suggests WAMpat keywords and commonly used configurations.
- Ensure you have Visual Studio Code version 1.81.0 or higher.
- No other specific dependencies.
If you've obtained a .vsix
file of the wam-test-pattern
extension from releases page, you can easily install it into your Visual Studio Code. Follow the steps below:

Open Visual Studio Code: Start up Visual Studio Code on your computer.

Navigate to Extensions: Click on the square-shaped Extensions icon in the sidebar, or you can use the shortcut
Ctrl+Shift+X

Install from VSIX...: In the Extensions view, click on the
...
(More Actions) button located at the top-right corner, then from the dropdown menu, selectInstall from VSIX...

Locate the
.vsix
file: In the file dialog that appears, locate and select thewam-test-pattern.vsix
file that you've downloaded or received. -
Confirm the Installation: A notification will pop up in the bottom-right corner of the window asking for confirmation. Click
Install
to proceed. -
Reload: Once the extension is installed, you might need to reload Visual Studio Code. Click on the
Reload Now
button if it appears in the bottom right of the window.
Your wam-test-pattern
extension should now be installed and ready to use!
The WAM Test Pattern extension integrates seamlessly into your Visual Studio Code environment, and as of now, it doesn't have specific user-facing settings.
Currently, there are no known issues with the extension. If you encounter any problems or have suggestions for improvements, please raise an issue on our GitHub repository.
