Mouse pinouts

This page will list known pinouts for popular mouse models, so you can modify yours to connect it to XLAT.

You'll need to connect two wires for click latency measurements:

  • GND or "Ground", which is the 0V reference level. Usually available on multiple points throughout the PCB
  • INPUT or "Button", which is the electrical signal equivalent of the mouse button being clicked. Usually available on the mechanical switch, or on the PCB, close to the switch for optical switches.

Settings because of the optical switches:

  • Debounce time: 200ms
  • Detection edge: falling (default)
