Configurable naming scheme It would be good to have a scheme wherein the names of different sections/parts could be made configurable. E.g. if a customer wanted to give a different name to Incidents, say Emergencies, then they could easily change that using configuration documents

Keep contact list up to date Since contacts are imported or created in the Continuity system, there is a big chance that the contact details might get stale over time. So a method of assisted self service is recommended where users are prompted every month to update/confirm their details.

Improvements to Call Tree There should be an option to send SMS to the contact. Perhaps having two buttons - Call & SMS - could replace the button showing the number right now. A secondary infobar under the header with right and left arrows to show the current position in the tree would also make things clearer.

Ad-hoc tasks During the course of an incident, there might be a need to create ad-hoc tasks e.g. procurement of materials, which are not part of the plan. So, an ability to create these ad-hoc tasks and assign them to people would be really beneficial.

Timing exercises For exercise/drill purposes, it would be good to see how long did it take to complete it. It would also be good to put a timer on the call tree to see how quickly can the call tree be completed.

Categorising Tasks and Incidents A really good feature would be to categorise the tasks by incident name so it is easier to find them. Incidents should be categorised under the following headings: Active, Deactivated and Exercise

Active Incident Dashboard In case of a live incident, it would be really helpful to have a dashboard which presents a snapshot of what is happening. This could be accessed from within the incident screen The following information would be really helpful:

  • Tasks status
  • Call Tree status
