You can configure push-to-talk or push-to-mute in the mod settings.
You can also simultaneously use the automatic mute and the button, but keep in mind that this could accidentally unmute your microphone, for example when the level finishes.

Additionally, your microphone will now be automatically unmuted when you quit the game, so that other applications can access it.
