Quick Refresh / Refresh only selected server #533
Comments
It won't be much faster - the most time wasted is when the client asks each server for it's info. |
maybe refresh the selected server only would be nice |
Is it me or it is useless? Use the favorites if you want to refresh only few servers. |
it's not totally useless if you have 60 servers in the favorite and you have a ping of 300 |
If you use the normal refresh you have to wait till all server, or the one you are looking for a good map/free slot, appears in the list. With quick refresh all servers would stay in the list and just would be filtered a second time. |
@KillaBilla: But that shouldn't be implemented with not asking the master server for a list. Maybe we could do this by keeping all server ips which were responded from master server and refresh the info - but without erasing the server list before. |
Could auto-refresh the selected server in a x second interval (and on selecting a different server). Related: #1026 |
Load Current Map button added
Add a quick refresh button to the server browser. If you click on it only the servers that are already in the serverlist will be refreshed and the client won't connect to the masterserver to get the latest serverlist.
EDIT: Would be nice, if you could right click on a server an a context menu pops up where you can select "Connect","Refresh","Show info" or something like that. So if you are waiting for a free slot on a server you just have to refresh that single server and not the whole list.
