Gmail uses lists the "unread" count as a number next to each label in the label list on the left, and allows you to show/hide those labels in the list based on whether that number is >0 or not with the feature "show if unread." This paradigm is pretty useless for inbox lovers who have ontologically separated "readness" from "doneness" as most labels will just continually fill up with more and more unread messages that will never be read because they are already done.
What I want gmail to do instead is show the count of emails with have the "inbox" label in addition to the label in question (i.e. are not yet archived/"done") and allow me to show/hide the label based on that number being >0... i.e. the feature "show if in inbox."
I haven't looked into how possible/hard this would be, but posting it here since I think it would be a feature that a lot of people using this extension would want. Would be happy to give it a shot if there is interest.
