In texstudio I can't find a way to buid my pdf file with context

Environment

  • TeXstudio: 2.12.6
  • Qt: 5.9.1
  • OS: Windows 10
  • TeX distribution: texlive 2017

Expected behavior

Add an option "context" to the list of build ( latex, pdflatex, xelatex, ... )

Actual behavior

How to reproduce

since you are the first to ask, you can set context as a user command,

We don't have proper context support. In particular highlighting and other editor features do only work properly for latex. There's been a tiny bit of work here: https://sourceforge.net/p/texstudio/feature-requests/701/#8535 but it's far from a state that we could claim to support context.

While we cannot support context properly, it would be a misleading signal to add a context build option. As mentioned before, you can easily set it up yourself as a user command.
