You can make compress matter in cargo with the autolathe, there's literally no need for the guy to haul ass to science and getting his ass beaten by the RD |

@ma44 Apparently the build-a-shuttle was the source of the escalation, therefore being the initial cause of the ban. |

So if i go and build a shuttle, I will also get my ass beaten up by a RD, throw him into spess so I can build my happy little shuttle. Also this person has some notes already from previous days. It's the origin of the escalation, annd the "last straw" for the player. Being penalized by admins for using features we give them regardless of what Saeg "i dont actually enjoy or play the game" rimr thinks is wrong. |

One straight up point is that given that the ship is already exposed to space, it needs time to be depressurised, built with fixtures and machinery installed and made safe, which depending on the amount of people doing it & outsourcing the materials (tech boards from science etc, minerals from mining) and labour at tops can take 10 mins out of a possible 40 mins to get ready
Its pretty much a case that if you want easy antag to kill everyone on the shuttle, call the DIY shuttle (which arrives instantly and denies actually ready shuttles) and just leave it on a round with no active/non-murdered competent engineers and everyone will die if you take measures to deny the pods as means to escape. The captain in all likelyhood didn't want to have to have everyone on board wearing a space suit because the pressure is still ass or to have to have a open canister blowing space wind over everything.

If I can't buy the build-a-shuttle as the guy in charge of building things with the intent to proceed to build a shuttle without getting banned for defending myself while building the shuttle, why should I keep the shuttle in the game?
