Getting Started

Like most plugins you should generally upload The Events Calendar Category Colors to your wp-content/plugins directory. If you have obtained the latest version by downloading from our wordpress.org page then you may be able to simply upload it via the Plugins > Add New > Upload screen in WordPress.

Once it is installed you must activate it or it will not do anything! Additionally you must have created an Event that has an Event Category checked. With that done, head on over to Events > Settings - you should see a new tab labeled Category Colors:

Clicking on that tab should open up a new admin screen that will let you choose colors for your categories, whether or not you want a legend to appear and various other bells and whistles:

If you change anything be sure to hit Save Changes or your modifications will be lost.
